IKERLAN is a technology research centre based in the Basque Country, and is a leader in technology transfer, providing competitive value to the industry. It offers comprehensive solutions by combining three technological areas: Embedded Electronic Systems and Cybersecurity, Digital Technologies and AI, and Energy and Mechatronics. IKERLAN specializes in pre-competitive research, contract-based R&D, particularly focusing on the adaptation of proprietary technologies, and the transfer of proprietary technology under license. Its technology portfolio includes BEGI, a digital processor that can be integrated into SoC designs to combine energy efficiency, high dynamic range, and ultra-low latency of dynamic vision sensors (DVS) with advanced AI capabilities. BEGI is compatible with both commercial DVS from Prophesee and emerging DVS modalities, including Electronically Foveated DVS (EF-DVS) and Light-Field DVS (LF-DVS), which IKERLAN is developing in collaboration with Raytrix and CSIC-IMSE. When combined with LF-DVS sensors, BEGI offers depth maps with latency below one millisecond, energy consumption under one hundred milliwatts, and an operational range of up to 10 meters.
