Wave and Particle Engineering Solutions (WAPTEL) is a Madrid-based fabless company dedicated to the design and development of high-tech solutions, services and products based on photonics and electronics. WAPTEL’s capabilities range from the concept and physical simulation of structures and devices to the characterisation of the final system, including the definition of manufacturing processes and the design of integrated circuits or structures. The products and services offered have their application in various fields of consumer information and communication technologies (ICT), as well as in more specialised niches within the areas of outer space, health, energy, security and defence.
WAPTEL’s areas of specialisation include:
- Semiconductor technology, mainly related to III-V materials and silicon, and, in general, nanostructured materials.
- Quantum technology for the development of devices, systems and algorithms.
- Design, simulation and characterisation of integrated photonic and electronic devices.
- Wireless optical communications.
WAPTEL has its own prototyping means for the realisation of some technological processes.
