The Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI) welcomes Solar Organic Centro España, a manufacturer of solar panels and energy storage devices that is part of a broader initiative comprising three interrelated projects, each with a complementary focus on energy, semiconductors and silicon wafers. This new alliance reinforces the association’s commitment to innovation and technological development in a key sector.
Solar Organic is a start-up with a disruptive vision, specialising in solar energy materials and devices based on Taiwanese technology. Solar Organic stands out for its pioneering approach to the research and production of organic photovoltaic (OPV) solutions and storage systems. Its value proposition lies in the creation of sustainable, lightweight and low-cost technologies. Based on SiC semiconductors, they promise to revolutionise markets such as renewable energy, wearable electronics and architectural integration. The company actively invests in R&D&I to optimise the efficiency and durability of its materials, positioning itself as a key player in the transition towards greener and more accessible electronics.
AESEMI, meanwhile, was founded in 2021 and represents the leading Spanish companies engaged in microelectronic design and semiconductor manufacturing. One of its main objectives is to raise the profile of all the entities that form part of the semiconductor technology ecosystem in Spain. This platform promotes the growth of this industry and provides large companies with solutions to meet their decarbonisation and digitalisation commitments, which are a common factor for all industries worldwide.
