The Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI), the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers (COIT) and the Valencia Silicon Cluster (VaSIC) sign a strategic agreement to strengthen the Spanish contribution to the upcoming reform of the European Chip Law, in line with the recommendations of the Draghi Report.
Alfonso Gabarrón González, general manager of AESEMI; Marta Balenciaga Arrieta, dean-president of COIT, and Mayte Bacete, president of VaSIC, signed yesterday an agreement to promote Spanish participation in the upcoming modification of the Chips Act. This agreement is in line with the recommendations made by the Draghi Report, promoted by AESEMI and VaSIC, which aims to develop a Spanish Memorandum for the reform of the European Chips Act.
Also present at the signing were Carlos G. Triviño, secretary general of VaSIC and coordinator of the national working group, and Clara González, coordinator of the COIT Microelectronics and Semiconductors Working Group. The meeting also helped to advance proposals to reform the European Chip Law.
AESEMI thanks COIT and VaSIC for their willingness to join forces in the Spanish semiconductor ecosystem and improve the presence and contribution of our country in the European Chips Act.
