The 3NEO Technology Platform, focused on the promotion of functional printing, printed and structural electronics, coatings, bioprinting and 3D printing, joins the Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI) as a collaborating entity. This strategic alliance consolidates the shared will of both platforms to strengthen the national technological ecosystem and promote synergies around innovation, design and advanced manufacturing.
3NEO is promoted by companies, universities and technology and research centres, both public and private, working in advanced printing technologies. Its main objective is to promote the development of new technologies, materials and applications, fostering R&D&I and its impact on society. Currently, the platform has 125 participating entities, of which 60% are companies that find in 3NEO a strategic ally for internationalisation, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Among the strategic sectors to which 3NEO provides technological solutions are health, mobility, aeronautics, consumer electronics and IoT, graphic industry, packaging, construction, textile, ceramics, paper, defence and energy, among others. The platform is open to new members and promotes active collaboration through its working groups focused on materials, processes, applications, entrepreneurship and international connections.
AESEMI, for its part, was founded in 2021 and represents the main Spanish companies dedicated to microelectronic design and semiconductor manufacturing. With more than 70 members, one of its objectives is to give visibility to all the entities that form part of the semiconductor technology ecosystem in Spain.
The collaboration between AESEMI and 3NEO will allow exploring joint opportunities in key areas such as microelectronics, printed and structural electronics and new materials, generating a common space for the exchange of knowledge, the identification of industrial challenges and the promotion of collaborative projects. This convergence between semiconductors and advanced printing reinforces the commitment of both entities to a more competitive and sustainable technology industry, oriented towards digital transformation.
