ICFO is a research centre in photonics-based sciences and technologies. It has three driving programmes in the areas of Health, Energy and Information, the latter covering photonic chips, quantum photonic chips and their applications for telecommunications, information management, sensors and lasers, with a strong focus on technology transfer.
