Spanish Cleanroom Facility for Micro- and Nanofabrication, part of the Centre for Nanophotonics Technology (NTC) at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV).
The NF-NTC specialises in micro- and nanofabrication and integrated photonics, with capabilities covering process development, the manufacture and prototyping of integrated photonic devices and circuits, characterisation, integration and packaging. The node has a cleanroom of approximately 700 m², with ISO 4–7 areas, and wafer processing capabilities up to 200 mm (8″), using different platforms and materials, including silicon, silicon nitride, lithium niobate, barium titanate and III-V alloy-based materials.
The NF-NTC offers its facilities on an open-access basis to universities, research centres, technology centres and companies, facilitating the development of prototypes and small production runs, as well as the transition from research and technological development to pilot manufacturing.
