The Society for the Economic Promotion of Gran Canaria (SPEGC), an entity dependent on the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and currently attached to the Department of Economic Development, Industry, Trade and Crafts, joins the Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI) as a collaborating entity.
The SPEGC seeks to promote economic development and strengthen the business ecosystem of Gran Canaria by encouraging investment and innovation in strategic sectors. To this end, it has initiatives aimed at supporting the creation and consolidation of companies, through financing and advice, among others, and attracting external investors to improve the island’s competitiveness.
Among the services provided by the SPEGC are advice and support for entrepreneurs and innovative companies, support in the search for funding for business projects, programmes for the creation and acceleration of entrepreneurial initiatives and training in strategic sectors.
AESEMI was founded in 2021 and represents the main Spanish companies dedicated to microelectronic design and semiconductor manufacturing. One of its objectives is to give visibility to all the entities that form part of the semiconductor technology ecosystem in Spain.
