ZEISS, the leading international technology company operating in the optics and optoelectronics sectors, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI). This agreement will foster synergies and collaborations with the associated entities and help to boost the sector.
The company, whose Iberia headquarters is based in Tres Cantos (Madrid), has the mission to offer innovative and high quality solutions to a wide range of industries and applications. ZEISS is a local partner to the automotive and mechanical industry, research in different fields of science (biomedicine, materials, microelectronics, semiconductors) and medical technology and maintains a strong commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility as part of its business activities, focusing on innovative solutions that contribute to the positive development of society and enable long-term profitable growth.
With its innovation and development of advanced solutions, ZEISS supports chip manufacturers, who make it possible to drive semiconductor technology forward. Its contributions in this field include EUV technology and solutions for optical lithography, photomasks and process control, which enable manufacturers worldwide to produce more powerful, energy-efficient and cost-effective processors and memories for all types of consumer electronic devices, both domestic and industrial.
AESEMI, meanwhile, aims to represent the main Spanish companies dedicated to microelectronic design and semiconductor manufacturing. Among its objectives is to give visibility to all the companies that form part of the Spanish semiconductor and microelectronics technology ecosystem, as well as to promote the sector nationally and internationally. The collaboration between both entities will help to promote and give visibility to the Spanish semiconductor sector.
