The Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI) is organising, through its Industry Relations Committee, a series of open innovation conferences with the participation of key players in each topic.
At these events, AESEMI will bring together a diverse group of participants who will bring different perspectives and knowledge relevant to the industry. They will include semiconductor designers, artificial intelligence experts, academic researchers, large corporations and other representatives of the semiconductor industry.
The aim of these meetings is to create a collaborative environment that fosters an environment conducive to open innovation. It also encourages the protection of intellectual property and promotes the continuity of common ground between participants.
Innovation through the collaboration of the different agents of the sector is now more important than ever, due to the support policies for the semiconductor industry proposed through the PERTE Chip in Spain and the Chips Act in Europe.
These are the selected venues, dates and themes:
- September: Presentation of R&D capacities and services of public and private entities. Place: Madrid
- Octubre: Information session on the types and categories of existing aid in Spain and the EU and Innovative Public Procurement. Place: Barcelona
- November: Challenges in the market acceleration of electronic devices with new microelectronics. Venue: Bilbao and Valencia
- December: Forum for the generation of opportunities in the framework of PERTE Chip: Sectoral Conferences and challenges for companies in accessing clients and investment. Session for approaching private investment entities where financing experiences are shared among the partners.
Partnerships at the forefront
In addition to organising events, the Industry Relations Committee is also working on creating a detailed directory of all members to facilitate the search for collaborations, which are so important in this sector. Interested entities will be able to find partners for semiconductor design, manufacturing and technology among AESEMI members.
In parallel, a list of related open projects will be published.
