Ikerlan technology centre joins AESEMI

IKERLAN is a leading technology centre in the transfer of knowledge and the contribution of competitive value to companies.

The incorporation of the Basque research centre into the Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI) is an important step towards further cohesion of the Spanish semiconductor ecosystem and progress in its development.

Ikerlan is a leader in technology transfer and in providing competitive value to the industry. It offers integral solutions combining different technological domains in two main areas: Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies (EICT), and Energy and Mechatronics. Specifically, in the area of ICT, IKERLAN has started a line of research into event-driven vision and the design of digital neuromorphic pipelines that can be integrated into traditional RISC-V or Arm processor architectures.

The technology centre currently has a team of 400 people. As a co-operative member of the MONDRAGON Corporation and the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), IKERLAN maintains a sustainable, competitive business model in permanent transformation.
