The Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI) has reached a significant milestone with the incorporation of AWGE Technologies, its 100th member. With this addition, the national ecosystem is strengthened by a technology-based engineering company with extensive experience in applying physics to develop high value-added solutions.
AESEMI President Álvaro Pineda celebrates the milestone of reaching 100 members: “Adding our 100th member is cause for celebration and a milestone. It is a milestone because it symbolises the consolidation of AESEMI as the association representing the semiconductor industry in Spain and the real need for the sector to unite and collaborate. On behalf of the entire AESEMI team, I would like to thank AWGE Technologies and all our partners for their trust, and I encourage you to participate in all the activities that are being launched in this common forum that is AESEMI for a stronger ecosystem.”
Founded in 2016, AWGE Technologies is an SME specialising in the design, development, manufacture and validation of turnkey products and solutions for highly demanding sectors such as defence and security, radio astronomy, aerospace, particle accelerators and broadcasting. Its know-how focuses on key technological fields such as cryogenics, ultra-high vacuum, precision mechanics, radio frequency and component assembly.
The company stands out for its ability to transform scientific and commercial ideas into technological realities, meeting the most rigorous quality standards. Among its most significant projects are the design and manufacture of a test cryostat for the European Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) and the creation of components for the ESS-ERIC accelerator waveguide in Sweden. It has also participated in projects for the F-110 frigate, demonstrating its versatility and the high impact of its technology worldwide.
AWGE Technologies’ focus on managing the project from start to finish—from design and drafting to assembly, integration, and testing—ensures its customers receive accurate, on-time solutions, making it a strategic partner for any entity in the semiconductor ecosystem.
AESEMI, meanwhile, was founded in 2021 and represents the leading Spanish companies engaged in microelectronic design and semiconductor manufacturing. One of its main objectives is to raise the profile of all the entities that form part of the semiconductor technology ecosystem in Spain. This platform promotes the growth of this industry and provides large companies with solutions to meet their decarbonisation and digitalisation commitments, which are a common factor for all industries worldwide.
