DEERNS, an international engineering firm specialising in the design of clean rooms and critical environments for the semiconductor industry, has joined the Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI) as a collaborator. This addition strengthens the national microelectronics ecosystem, bringing an innovative vision to the design, sustainability and optimisation of facilities for the production of chips and advanced technologies.
Deerns has extensive experience in the comprehensive design of high-tech manufacturing plants and laboratories, from R&D centres to 200 and 300 mm wafer production lines, with ISO 1 to ISO 7 clean environments. Its expertise covers the entire project lifecycle, from technical feasibility and conceptual design to detailed engineering, validation and optimisation of critical processes.
With more than 750 experts and a presence in 17 offices across 10 countries, Deerns has participated in landmark projects for leading companies in the sector such as ASML, NXP, STMicroelectronics, IMEC and Infineon, establishing itself as a strategic partner in the design of state-of-the-art industrial infrastructure.
AESEMI’s main mission is to promote and represent the interests of the semiconductor industry in Spain, fostering innovation, collaboration between companies and research centres, and talent development. The integration of Deerns strengthens this mission by adding a company with a high technological and strategic component, essential for positioning Spain as a relevant player on the global map of semiconductors and advanced digitalisation.
