Taiwan, as the world’s largest semiconductor producer, is indispensable in the development of integrated photonics and advanced semiconductor packaging. The output value of Taiwan’s photonics industry exceeded US$62 billion in 2023, with an annual growth rate of 44%, accounting for 10% of the global market.
This is why secpho and AESEMI, through the Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, are organising a joint mission to promote the participation of Spanish companies in two of the main fairs on the island dedicated to microelectronics and semiconductors: Semicon Taiwan, to be held from 4 to 6 September 2024, and Taitronics – AIoT – Photonics Festival Taiwan (parallel fairs), which will take place from 23 to 25 October this year.
In order to support access to these fairs, both entities are working so that those of you who are interested can obtain incentives to cover at least the accommodation costs. For now, the incentives will only be available for the Taitronics Fair.
In addition, Taitronics and AIoT Taiwan will feature this year’s Big Bang: AIoT Startups Zone programme, which will select 10 startups for full travel grants.
Information on participation in both fairs will be distributed through the membership channels of both associations.
