WIMMIC is a Spanish company founded in 2017 by Celestia Group and Triple Helix, specialized in the design of integrated circuits. Its work stands out for the creation of innovative electronic components such as power amplifiers, transceivers and analog-to-digital converters, using advanced technologies such as GaN, GaAs, CMOS and SiGe.
In its first months of life, WIMMIC achieved several projects that marked the beginning of its activity. Among them, a project aimed at the development of a multifunction integrated circuit to reduce costs and environmental impact and improve the efficiency of satellite communications, funded through the regional EATIC call, stands out. Also at the beginning of its activity, another project for the development of a Ku-band multifunction integrated circuit for flat antennas for electronic pointing, financed through the European SME Instrument (H2020 Program).
Over the years, the company has been consolidating its participation in R&D&I projects while expanding its services to international clients, expanding its expertise in the field of telecommunications.
In June 2024, WIMMIC announced its integration with Celestia TST. With this absorption, WIMMIC’s strengths in semiconductors join Celestia TST’s leadership in IoT and telecommunications solutions, creating synergies that open up new opportunities in the global technology industry. This merger also consolidates WIMMIC’s strategic collaboration with the University Institute of Applied Microelectronics (IUMA), which has been key to accessing advanced verification and testing laboratories, ensuring the reliability of its products.
One of WIMMIC’s recent achievements is its participation in the RISCCOM project, a pioneering initiative that seeks to develop a wireless communications system based on RISC-V architecture. This project, financed by the CDTI and the European Next Generation EU funds through the PERTE CHIP Missions line, focuses on creating low power consumption and high security solutions, with applications in various strategic industries. WIMMIC’s participation in RISCCOM reinforces its commitment to leadership in the microelectronics sector, placing Spain at the forefront of this disruptive technology.
In parallel to its work, WIMMIC plays a key role in the Cluster Chip Canarias, an initiative that brings together companies and research centers to strengthen the technological ecosystem in the Canary Islands CanaryChip. This project promotes cooperation in the design and manufacture of electronic equipment, positioning the archipelago as a strategic hub for microelectronics in Europe.

Since its foundation, WIMMIC has worked tirelessly to offer cutting-edge technological solutions that respond to the needs of an interconnected world. With projects such as RISCCOM, its role in the Chip Canarias Cluster and its recent merger, the company reaffirms its commitment to promote the development of advanced technologies from the Canary Islands, contributing to the growth of the sector nationally and internationally.
WIMMIC continues to set a course for the future, combining talent, vision and a strong commitment to innovation.
