Alter Technology is an engineering services provider specialized in the space, aeronautics, automotive, medical, defense and nuclear sectors. Its incorporation to the Spanish Semiconductor Industry Association (AESEMI) helps to unite and strengthen the Spanish ecosystem.
The entity, which is part of the TÜV Nord group, is a leader in semiconductor assembly and test services (OSAT) and works for customers worldwide. They develop and offer comprehensive turnkey solutions covering all backend engineering tests, such as wafer probing, assembly and packaging of opto- and microelectronic components, device qualification and reliability, and technology analysis. Alter also has extensive experience working with unusual materials, flows and requirements for aerospace, aerospace, automotive, semiconductor and other highly complex industries.
AESEMI, for its part, was founded in 2021 and represents the main Spanish companies dedicated to microelectronic design and semiconductor manufacturing. One of its objectives is to give visibility to all the entities that form part of the semiconductor technology ecosystem in Spain. Thanks to this platform, the growth of this industry and the option for large companies to have solutions to cover the commitments of decarbonization and digitization, which are a common factor for all industries, already worldwide.
