UPVfab, a micro-fabrication facility of the Universitat Politècnica de València, joins AESEMI

UPVfab signs as new member for the Asociación Española de la Industria de Semiconductores (AESEMI), as part of the ecosystem integration and cohesion activities around the Spanish strategy on semiconductors, fostered by the flagship programme known as “PERTE Chip”.

Mr. Alfonso Gabarrón, General Manager for AESEMI highlights the relevance of public research and tech transfer institutions in AESEMI “We are thrilled to have a university with the prestige and recognition as the Polytechnic University of Valencia in AESEMI. It is also an undeniable sign of the growth that our ecosystem is experiencing and that we must continue supporting”.

Prof. Pascual Muñoz, Director for UPVfab, shared “it’s crucial to get engaged and aligned with associations as AESEMI, so as to gather directly the current and future needs from industry”. UPVfab has a resident company programme for industry to get established in the cleanroom for their own and cooperative works. “AESEMI is a new forum that brought us together with many semiconductor companies and public actors we had not yet met”.
